CarneyVale: Showtime is a vertical ragdoll platform game for Xbox LIVE Community Games. In the game, you play as Slinky, a circus acrobat trying to rise up the ranks by performing acrobatic tricks and death-defying stunts through increasingly complex arenas.

Paros Game Cube

The Singapore Games Creation Competition is one of Asia’s biggest 2007 games festival for games developers worldwide. Paros game cube consist of 2 mini games with brain testing as a theme and was created within 30 hours with 4 guys and 1 girl all are technically trained :) 1st mini game named as pool is a game where by player has to find the best patten to have as much collision as possible to gain as high score as possible. Player is also able to control the cube by rotating them to control the direction where the ball will bounce. 2nd mini game named as dojo is a game that test for player ablity to memorize patten spawn by the computer. The more the player can remember, the better. The Paros Game Cube have been awarded Best XNA award in the Singapore Games Creation Competition 2007.

Defender

The Singapore Games Creation Competition is one of Asia’s biggest 2007 games festival for games developers worldwide. Defender was a game created within 2 weeks using the Microsoft XNA technology and submitted to Singapore Games Creation 2007, and was awarded Best Visual Award. Defender was developed with single man power which is myself within 2 weeks. It was quite a challange for myself and well experience gain.

Golf Madness

Golf Madness game was developed as a Final Year Project in Nanyang Polytechnic. It was a game that have a hardware (provided by the client) that take in some information from the brain and produce a brainwave. And from that information recieve from the hardware, player can control how the game will work.

The game was developed over 3 months with 2 artist and 1 programmer with a C# base engine and a higher level VB.net. It consist of physics and scripting (lua script) for all the 15 levels with 3 different theme in it. With a map editor created in flash, changing level or editing of collision was much more easier.

Kakure

Kakure was a mobile phone project done using Java J2ME during Industrial Attachment Program (IAP) at Orange Gum Pte Ltd together with an Artist and another programmer, for a duration of 12 weeks. Kakure can be consider as a larger scale project with a network capbilities via GPRS, physics and database.

Last Hour 25

Last Hour 25 another game that is complete hand in hand with designer. Designers take cares of all the concepting and art assets creations, and with a team of 4 programmer including myself to code out the game. The game is created during the studio project week that was 5 weeks long.

This project used mostly what was in some other project that we had created. New functions like .avi video play back, lua scripting was added in to the game as there are some video cut scene and map loading.

Dungeon Revival v2

Dungeon revival version 2 was the enhanced version of version 1 which was required to be done for studio project module that lasted 3 week, with almost 100% reskinning, some optimization and scripting done. It was then later submitted to gamasutra.com and featured on gamecareerguide.com as a student articles. Click on Here to view it!.

There is 4 people including myself working on this project. the whole project are done from ground up using glut as the windowing toolkit and opengl for rendering. It taken about 1 semester or about 4 months to complete. It was a great experience as it was my 1st 3D game development.
